Freed
Sometimes there's not one way to descirbe yourself- fitting into a box doesn't work. This painting took on the masucility and feminity of human charactersitics while protraying the stregth in uncertainty I had no direction with this painting other than a set color pallete. When people ask me how I set out to create a piece, I genieuly have no clue sometimes. I let myself paint in the moment so I don't feel confined to producing a certain image. Painting is just learning how to manipulate a brush and understand color complexity. Pick up a brush and start painting-even if you don't like the end result. I probably say I hate a painting mid-creation about 20 times before I perfect the image I see in my head. The more I give myself room to make mistakes, the more I at ease.
