Welcome
Commission Inspiration
Aphrodite X Athena,
my natural painting process with a commission twist
Aphrodite
Original Painting
I created this piece initially as a solo entity. My client was inspired by this piece and after purchasing the original, she commissioned another painting that embodied similar elements to Aphrodite, 2023.
Athena X Aphrodite
Set
Athena emerged from a very free-flowing process. I was given free creative range to explore within a color palette and let the painting emerge naturally.
Athena
Commissioned Piece
Per the client's request I made the silhouette the star of the painting and combined similar expressions of movement to dictace floral placement. This set mirrors technique, color and form.
THE STORY BEHIND THE CANVAS
COMMISSION SERIES
Elkins & Elkins, 2023
This piece symbolizes Tax Firm Elkins & Elkins mission, specializing in building relationships with long-lasting clients. I used a mix of bold colors and abstract objects to create a sense of depth, alluding to the firm's complex work.
C.R.E.A.M. LAB Logo
This piece was commissioned by the founder of the UC Berkeley C.R.E.A.M Lab. I recreated the Lab’s Logo and designed a painting that showcases the research they conduct in clinical psychology. As a past research assistant in the C.R.E.A.M. Lab, I have trained to perform EEG assessments and wanted to demonstrate the neuroscience facet of the lab through an artistic lens.
Kettuba R & D, 2022
A kettuba symbolizes a couples marriage and serves as
documentation the joining of two people in Jewish culture. Danielle and Ronnie took a modern twist of the kettuba as they wanted an original painting that encompassed wedding venue circling the kettuba text.
Rendition, 2020
Eric wanted a me to create a piece after his favorite artist but use stylistic components that matched my artistic style and compliment his tastes. By highlighting the original paintings usage of abstract lines I created a piece that is uniquely its own and follows a more concise pattern.
Family Man 2022
"We love our painting so much. It’s full of life — our family’s collective life so far. Sara listened to our hopes for the piece, then proceeded to paint and draw big moments and tiny nuances with vibrancy, whimsy, and truth. It has already sparked the curiosity of friends
who see it and conversations with our children about memories that resonate in Sara’s work."
Overlooking SF, 2022
This piece focuses on the natural scenery in the client's neighborhood combined with the rich architecture San Francisco has to offer.
I loved mixing media with this piece and felt inspired to step outside my comfort zone by morphing Impressionism with abstract art.
Albums for JM, 2022
Jake likes a complex arrangement of music pieces and I wanted to emulate this is in an expressive format. I created this piece as an ode to happy memories and adventures.
Growth, 2021
I created this piece for my mother that combines the simplicity of nature and the complexity of colors.
Pose, 2020
This piece was given to a family friend. Although I set out to create this piece without a client in mind, this became the perfect piece in someone's home. I think it is speaks to duality of grace and strength a dancer can have. I love that my art connects me back to past relationships and the memories of my childhood.
Bobbie- James' Cat, 2021
This painting encapsulates the rare moment and the shock in her eyes when Bobbie realizes that she’s all dressed up. James, the client, wanted the painting to show Bobbie’s wide eyes and shock on her face as well as have a custom blend of colors for the background.
